Brother Yusef

Jazz has always been more than simply a form of music; it was – and is – a lifestyle, a creed, an expression of one's origins. Jazz is black music that evolved in a white culture. Only a few of the great old masters of jazz are still alive today; one of them is saxophonist and composer Yusef Lateef. Today, at the age of 84, he lives a very secluded life in a small wooden house in the forests of Massachusetts.
