Anthroposophy – founded by Rudolf Steiner over 100 years ago – is currently operational in such fields as education, medicine, agriculture and art. Is it a quixotic esoteric spiritual way, a fundamentalist ideology, or even a radical alternative to mainstream capitalism? On a journey through Egypt, Sweden, Germany, and Switzerland, the film pays a visit to people who are active as anthroposophists or who have turned their backs on this controversial movement. It is a chronicle of ambivalence towards the fascination with and rejection of a scintillating universe.
