New Years Eve recurs somewhere around the annual balance sheet and a strong compulsion to party: Schaub's film takes us on a nocturnal taxi ride through Zürich to an empty villa, and via encounters with a lost dog and a late-night police shift as well as a babysitter problem, the story gives nine people under Zürich's skies a chance to grab life by the balls and start anew.
