@2022 Dschoint Ventschr
Dschoint Ventschr Filmproduktion develops, produces and sells films that deal mainly with aspects of cross-culture, politics and society: fiction films and documentaries that deal with the meeting of different cultures. Dschoint Ventschr works consistently to develop a modern visual film language and exploits the creative possibilities of new technologies.
Since 1994, more than 100 committed feature-length documentaries and films have been made - mostly international co-productions with Germany, France, Austria, England and Canada.
Dschoint Ventschr works mainly with young authors and has made a name for itself in Switzerland as a "talent incubator". Anja Kofmel's first film, the Anima documentary "Chris the Swiss", was presented in 2018 as part of the Critics' Week in Cannes. Jan-Eric Mack's short film "Facing Mecca" received the Student Academy Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2017 and made the shortlist for the 90th Academy Awards 2018. A year earlier, Marc Wilkin's short film "Bon Voyage" was also nominated for the Academy Awards and Sophie Heldmann's German co-production "Satte Farben vor Schwarz" was entered in the international competition of the San Sebastian Film Festival in 2010.
Numerous films produced have received international awards, including "DORA or the sexual neuroses of our parents" and "Nachbeben" by Stina Werenfels, "Operation Libertad" by Nicolas Wadimoff, "Das Fräulein" by Andrea Staka (winner of the Pardo D'Oro in Locarno in 2006), "Snow White" by Samir, "Strähl" by Manuel Flurin Hendry and "Honey and Ash" by Nadia Fares; Samir's documentaries "Forget Baghdad" and "Iraqi Odyssey", Werner Swiss Schweizer's "Verliebte Feinde", "Hidden Heart" and "Noel Field - Der erfundene Spion", Sabine Gisiger's "Gambit" and many others.
