The Turin Horse Béla Tarr (2011, 146')
In Turin on January 3rd 1889, Friedrich Nietzsche steps out of his house. Nearby the driver of a carriage is having trouble with a stubborn horse. It refuses to move, whereupon the driver loses his patience and hits it. Nietzsche sees the brutal scene and suddenly jumps up to the cab and throws his arms around the horse, sobbing.
