Born in 1957 in Basel. 1977-80 Studies pedagogy. 1981-86 Works as teacher at schools for children with special needs, as freelance journalist and photographer. 1987-94 Studies at HFF (Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film, Munich). Since 1993 works as independent filmmaker.
