Aline, a solitary and introverted young girl living in the Alps, falls in love passionately with a tourist. But when she sees him again in town he tells her that he doesn't love her. Unable to accept this rejection Aline increasingly goes insane, hearing voices that suggest another way to unite with her lover.
When Aline is rejected after a nocturnal love affair, she sees one opportunity only to unite with her lover: killing and devouring.
