L'escalier
Swiss Film Prize: Best Short Film 2004
An adolescent girl discovers her first amorous emotions. Parts of her days take place in a stairwell. It is there that she says goodbye to her boyfriend before returning home; it is also there that she meets her girlfriend. It is there that the strong emotions of her young existence are played out. Filmed in a superb setting with faultless acting, the film slips into the life of a young girl, providing us with touches of sensitivity, strength and justice.
Rachel
Rachel, a 19-year-old student, pays her way by looking after Hugo, who is three and whose father is raising him alone. Because the father does not get home frequently until the early morning, the young woman takes advantage of the situation and invites her best friend and two boys over.
Le créneau
Camille and Hervé are invited to an elegant dinner party on Friday. They are late, as usual. Camille is behind the wheel and concentrates on finding a parking space. The two begin to provoke one other, quarrel and settle old scores. Will the couple still arrive safe and sound at the party?
Son jour à elle
Chiara is 12. It's her confirmation. The whole family crowds into the photomat booth for a commemorative portrait. But Chiara doesn't feel very well.
Les électrons libres
Dawn. Masked men arrive at a parking in the mountains where the last survivors of the Carnaval are about to leave. Amongst them, Véronique is torn between Xavier and Jochen. If you play with fire…
