Dimanche de pinguins
The story of a shy young man who, at the beach, notices a young girl and decides to court her. After a few timid attempts at seductive moves, he finally watches her go off with a lifeguard. Throughout, he has kept his nose in a book on the mores of penguins.
Musique en tête
An attempt to give a close-up picture of a singer and the world which surrounds her. In this "small circle" which includes the manager, the artistic director, the impresario, and the orchestra depend on her and she on them - especially financially. They areiclosely linked in a battle for a place in the spotlights of the entertainment jungle. MUSIQUE EN TETE (A HEAD FULL OF MUSIC) is an educational film in the sense that it tears down the mystique of the singing profession. It is a warning for all young men and women who, by identification with their «idol», want to try their chance and «make a career» of singing.

Filmmaker and ethnologist. 1955 Collaborates with Jean Rouch at the Musée de l'Homme in Paris, Department of Ethnographical and Sociological Films, and with Richard Leacock at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Film Department, Cambridge. 1998 Awarded Swiss Film Prize, Best Documentary for JOURNAL DE RIVESALTES 1941-1942
