ROMANS D'ADOS by Béatrice Bakhti
Virginie, Xavier, Jordann, Rachel, Thys, Mélanie and Aurélie are 12 years old. Although they do not exactly feel like real teenagers yet, they have already experienced the first stirrings thereof. Their commentaries are refreshingly naive and amusing. Nevertheless, there are already the initial flashes of drama, secrets and inner turmoil. Thoughtfully, but candidly, they introduce us to their families and we see that utterly contrasting worlds exist side by side these days. The film illustrates an intricate circle in which the significance of family support is gradually diminishing.
