Leos Carax
The Pont-Neuf is closed for repairs. In the labyrinthine scaffolding, Alex, a fire-eater living beneath the bridge, meets Michèle, a painter who is slowly losing her sight due to an affliction in one of her eyes. They fall madly in love. One day, posters appear advertising a remedy for the blindness that threatens Michèle. Alex, scared of losing her, burns them all, but Michèle hears of this cure on the radio and flees into the night to save her eyesight.
